WORKS by Brahms and Haydn feature in the programme for the Elias String Quartet's performance at Kendal's Brewery Arts Centre on Thursday, November 8 (8pm).
Formed in 1998 at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, the four members are originally from France, Scotland and Sweden but now live in Sheffield.
Based at the Crucible Theatre, the foursome is also resident at Sheffield and York universities.
Elias has performed extensively in the UK, Europe, and the USA, and has released a disc of Mendelssohn Quartets, a recording of French harp music with harpist Sandrine Chatron, and will soon release Goehr's Piano Quintet.
