He was Britain's sexiest rock n' roll' icon. Now the legacy of singing star Billy Fury is set to weaken women's knees again as handsome Star In Their Eyes' performer Colin Gold gives us Halfway to Paradise - The Billy Fury Story every Wednesday until November.

Colin, who bears a spine-tingling resemblance to the late Liverpool-born heartthrob, re-kindles the sounds and memories of a British icon while offering a stunning slice of rock n' roll history.

What's more, every aspect of the two-hour show is based upon Billy Fury's life and times right down to the participation of Billy's original band members, Fury's Tornados, who helped him storm the charts with hits such as I Will, Halfway To Paradise, It's Only Make Believe, A Thousand Stars, Maybe Tomorrow and Like I've Never been Gone.

A show spokesman said: "Halfway To Paradise' is a turbo charged roller coaster of magical memories that leaves the audience dazzled from the first song.

"Featuring some of their own personal footage of Fury's Tornado's performing with Billy, the stunning visual aspect of the show combines live video archive footage projected on a huge screen spanning the width of the stage."

Halfway To Paradise - The Billy Fury Story is performed at the North Pier Theatre in Blackpool every Wednesday until November 1 (excluding September 13), from 7.30pm. Tickets £12.95 for adults, £10.95 for senior citizens and £5.95 for children. Call 01253 292029
