The start of National Veterans' Week in Blackpool was ruined over the weekend with the annual airshow a washout.
Many of the historic planes that were due to fly at the RAF Military Might show were grounded due to the high winds that battered the resort on Saturday and Sunday.
The RAF still held their ground show, and the Hawks managed a smaller air display when the weather relented for a bit on Saturday afternoon, but the historic attractions such as the Dakota and Spitfire never left the ground.
