- A section of the A590 near the Brettargh Holt roundabout heading towards junction 36 was closed.
- At 12.22pm, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service was called to a vehicle fire on the A590 at Sedgwick.
- A crew from Kendal Fire Station attended the scene and extinguished the fire.
- The vehicle was a Landrover and was located in the layby on a dual carriageway - it was not occupied at the time of the fire.
