| MISSING: Paige Chivers |
An online video appealing for information on the whereabouts of missing Blackpool teenager Paige Chivers has had more than 200 views in just over a day.
Detectives investigating the disappearance of Paige have also taken their search for the youngster online.
Detective superintendent Kevin Toole, who is leading the investigation, has posted a video on the YouTube website appealing for information.
Lancashire police are also planning to launch
their own webpages on social networking sites Facebook and Bebo to help raise awareness about her disappearance.
It is now six months since Paige walked out of the family home on August 23 last year following an argument with her father.
Paige has also missed a milestone birthday on Sunday February 17 when she would have turned 16 years old.
Det Supt Kevin Toole said: "We are trying to remain optimistic and are exploring every possible avenue to help gain information about Paige's whereabouts.
"Paige's family are desperate to have her home and hopefully with the public's help we can make their wish a reality.
"Websites such as Facebook and Bebo are used by youngsters across the country everyday so their influence cannot be underestimated."
A 53 year old man and a 19 year old woman, both from the Blackpool area
were arrested in connection with the teenager's disappearance on 14
January 2008 but were later released without charge.
