Fylde RUFC have this week appointed Mark Nelson as the fulltime Director of Rugby.
The club's General Committee unanimously agreed to the appointment on Thursday night, and Mark takes over the running of all rugby matters at the club from Matt Emmerson.
Club chairman Michael Brennand said: "We're extremely fortunate to have had such a strong candidate for the post and we're delighted that he's committed himself to the club.

"Mark's experience at the top of English club rugby is a fantastic asset. He's a well qualified coach and has a powerful network of contacts throughout the game, particularly in Northern England.
"Mark's fulltime involvement well ahead of the 2008/9 campaign means that we can prepare with a very positive summer pre-season programme."
Mark said: "I'm very, very pleased to be given this opportunity at the Woodlands. I've always loved this club as player and coach between 1999 and 2002.
"To return here last October and have the chance now of leading the club forward on all rugby fronts is very exciting.
"Some people think of me as an elite coach, only really interested in first team rugby. That is far from the case.
"Earlier in my career I've been a rugby development officer working at the grass roots of the game, and I'm a qualified teacher so I've worked with lots of young people.
"The role of DoR is a very broad one and I will be delegating responsibilities to others where appropriate.
"For instance, on the Academy & community development programmes we've two really excellent people in Alan Holmes and Dave Wilks.
"They will have my full backing at maintaining the impetus to the great work that we've already been doing under Matt Emmerson.
"The Academy is a very important initiative for the future of the club. As are the various playing levels below the first team - from the Wanderers to the Vandals.
"My job is to take the whole Fylde family forward.
"I've taken this post because I've great respect for the vision, professionalism and management skills of the club's officers.
"They know where they want to take the club, to regain it's position as a top English club, and that's my mission too."
