Blackpool managed to put the troubles of last weekend's defeat behind them in a much-needed win over a touring side from Castleford.

The visitors kicked off and, much to their dismay, the ball was taken cleanly, passed to outside centre Tom Sumner who threaded his way through a bemused Castleford defence to open the scoring with a try under the posts, converted by Dave Minnikin.

On nine minutes prop Paul Miller, fed second row George Wilson who crashed over the line to score. Minnikin again converted and Blackpool began a domination that has been missing in recent weeks.

The back line also created some good scoring moves with their lines of running and only had to wait until the 18th minute before their hard work paid off. The ball was secured in the ruck and then, after some deft passing and dummying by stand off Jack Ward, Sumner was released to score his second try of the match.
