Blackpool continued their season with another resounding defeat when they went down by 83 - 0 on their visit to Trafford MV.

Although outclassed for much of the game, Blackpool again never let their heads drop and fought until the bitter end to try and salvage some pride by at least scoring but this was not to be.

In this blustery day Blackpool went behind as early as the 1st minute of the game when they succumbed to their usual try which, because of the wind conditions, went unconverted.

Trafford seemed to be able to score at will and went in at half time 39 points to the better without reply.

The second half was much of the same as the first with the home side running out victors by 83-0.

Although the score line suggests a walkover for Trafford this was not so as Blackpool, during some periods of the game, exerted pressure but were unable to capitalise on this by turning it into points on the board.

The plus points of this defeat were that Blackpool never let their heads go down and fought tooth and nail throughout the match.

Barry Tucker picked up another injury, this time to his hip and for the last 15 minutes of the match the teams had to revert to uncontested scrums due to the Blackpool front row being depleted and having no further replacements.
