After their enforced lay off for two weeks Blackpool returned to their old ways when they were soundly beaten by league leaders Heaton Moor by 111 points to 3 in this North Lancs 1 away fixture.

As early as the 2nd minute Heaton Moor took the lead when they scored a converted try.

Blackpool immediately hit back when Sean Donnelly kicked a penalty to bring the score back to 7 - 3.

This however was to be their only score of the game.

Heaton Moor ran in 6 more tries to bring the score to the half time 47 - 3 in their favour.

Blackpool had a brief flurry in the first half when they applied pressure to the Heaton Moor defence but were unable to convert it to points on the board.

The 2nd half was much the same as the first with Heaton Moor scoring a further 64 points without reply.

Blackpool had another flurry of attacks but were again unable to convert it into points.

The final score was 111 - 3; Blackpool did not expect to win against the league leaders but did not expect the score to be as high as it was.

The side now look forward to a Christmas break and will resume their matches in the new year.
