Blackpool was under the cosh again in the North Lancs. 1 match away to Bolton.

They were well beaten by 108 - 12 in what was a somewhat one-sided contest.

Blackpool were a try down as early as the 1st minute of the game and never really looked like winning this game.

They briefly took the game to the home side and scored an unconverted try in the 15th minute thanks to some good forward play which resulted in a pushover try for No 8 Heath George making his first outing of the season.

This did little to stem the flow of Bolton and, by the time Blackpool scored again they were7 tries to the better.

The second Blackpool try, converted by Sean Donnelly, was again thanks to some good forward play resulting in their scrum half Phil Raw going over.

For the last ten minutes of the half Blackpool began to exert some pressure but this was too late to stop Bolton.

Half time came with the score at 54 - 12 in Bolton's favour The second half began much the same as the first with Bolton extending their lead within 1 minute of the kick off.

There was now a lull in the Bolton scoring for about 20 minutes while the Blackpool pack began to show their potential; they were undoubtedly worrying the Bolton side with their aggression and determination.

The visitors experienced a period of supremacy during this time but, with the fitness and lack of training beginning to show, they were eventually beaten by a more determined Bolton side.

The final score of 108 - 12 was a fair result and definitely pointed out the lack of training for the Blackpool side.

They had only the bare bones of a side and need to get more players into the fold.

Anyone wanting to play for Blackpool should come along to training on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm where they will be made most welcome.
