Newly appointed 2nd XV team manager Mark Holden took his side away for his third match, in this Intermediate 5N fixture and maintained his 100 per cent record. They came away with a well deserved win against a team two places above them with two tries each from man of the match Leon Mason, Trevor Smith, Richard Jackson and Dean Smith and one from Carl Reynolds.
Blackpool can be pleased with their performance and have taken another step towards becoming a major player in their league.
Young South African Brent Hobbs, playing his first game for Blackpool was impressive.
His tackling and positional play plus his handling skills must surely make him one of the players to watch once he has settled into the side.
