First published in Rugby

Almost certainly for the first time in Fylde RFC's history, all seven teams that it fielded in league action at the weekend were victorious.

The five senior teams had handsome wins on Saturday, scoring a total of 242 points and conceding just 72.

Apart from the 1st team's high scoring victory over Loughborough Students, the Wanderers travelled to Birkenhead Park and won by a decisive 57-25.

The Saracens beat a depleted Ollershaw 2nds by 87-12 at the Woodlands.

The Vikings travelled to Lightfoot Green and beat the old enemy, Preston Grasshoppers 5ths by 27-5.

Last but not least, the Vandals beat Burnley 2nds by 24-0.

Then on Sunday it was the turn of the Colts.

The U'17s beat Glossop by 39-19 at the Woodlands - their first league win of the season.

The U'19s beat Aldwinians by 34-16, also at the Woodlands.
