Blackpool youngster Matt Kay has joined Fylde coast rivals Fleetwood on a month’s loan.
The midfielder will join the Highbury club until November 22 and will go straight into the side to face Stalybridge Celtic this weekend.
Blackpool boss Simon Grayson said: “It is a great opportunity for Matty to kick on play some first team football and I am sure he will do well for them, the Conference North is a good standard and many of the teams contain former professionals.
“They have a lot of games coming up and I am sure he will benefit from the experience.”
Micky Mellon, manager of Fleetwood, added: “Matty has the ability to do things in midfield that I want a player to do - he is very mobile and aggressive.
“He is a very talented lad who could have just sat back, just played with Blackpool reserves and trained with the first team, but he wants to be out on Saturday afternoon and playing for points, which is a credit to him.
“This is a chance for Matty to kick-start his career.”
