KIRKHAM & WESHAM 3, STUDLEY 0
H-T: 1-0
Scorers: Kirkham & Wesham: Phil Blackwell 39, Mark Wane 51, Mike Clark 69
KIRKHAM & WESHAM are now the sole representatives of not only the North West
Counties League left in the FA Vase but the whole of the North West of England too.
Victory over Studley from the Midland Alliance League at Kellamergh Park on Saturday secured a passage into the last 16 for the ambitious Fylde side, and in front of a ground record crowd of 424.
But success came at a cost as skipper Phil Thompson received his marching orders on 74 minutes for a two foot challenge on Studley forward Simon Fitter.

Boss Mick Fuller was both buoyant and upset at the end saying: "Great to get through, the side were magnificent again and pleased that so many people came along to watch us, but disappointed we lost Phil.
"The referee said afterwards that he had no option but to send Phil off for his challenge but that he got the ball.
"We will appeal and hopefully components will prevail," said Fuller.
That apart Kirkham were again in irresistible mood and a piece of pure individual brilliance from Phil Blackwell unlocked the Studley defence six minutes before half-time.
Blackwell latched onto a loose ball on the edge of the area, looked up saw Studley keeper Richard Anstiss off his line and lobbed in the opener.
And when Mark Wane made it 2-0 early in the second-half the writing was on the wall for the step five outfit from the West Midlands.
Indeed stylish Mike Clark ghosted through and onto a pass from Sean Paterson after 69 minutes to hammer the final nail into the Studley
coffin.
But then came the Thompson dismissal, and as boss Fuller admitted: "It put a real dampener on the win but there's no getting away from it, the side were tremendous again this afternoon."
Kirkham will now travel to Crowborough Athletic of Sussex in the fifth round on February 9 and already plans are in place for supporters to make
the trip.
A coach will leave the Fylde area pick up points as early as 5.45am on the day of the game and anyone wishing to book a place can do so now by calling 01253 692808 or 07910 555403.
