Blackpool Mechanics FC have been around for a while since establishing after the Second World War in 1947.

In 1962, they joined the Lancs Combination Div Two and are current members of the North West Counties Football League Division Two.

Their home ground is Jepson Way, Common Edge Road, Blackpool, and the squad are nicknamed "The Mechs".

Their biggest game came in February last year when they played FC United of Manchester.

With FC United attracting such a huge following, the game was switched from Jepson Way to Blackpool's Bloomfield Road ground, and drew a crowd of 4,300 spectators.

Directions to the ground are as follows.

M6 to M55, exit at junction 4.

At roundabout turn left along A583 to traffic lights, turn right into Whitehill Road, to traffic lights (2 miles).

Go straight across the main road into Jepson Way, ground at top.

Nearest Railway Station is Blackpool South.
