The double-header weekend on the Fylde Coast ended in frustration for both Blackpool and St Annes who drew at home with Lancaster and Netherfield respectively.

On Saturday at Stanley Park Blackpool made 240-7 with Justin Kreusch making 82 from 93 balls with 10 fours and Michael Moore making 82 not out from 84 balls with three sixes and four fours.

Lancaster then made a bold effort to reach their target but Michael Taylor ruined their plans with 4-65 including bowling top scorer Michael Stevens for 75, made from 137 balls with five fours, and Tim Barry for 55 made from 64 balls with one six and three fours. Jannisar Khan made 58 with six boundaries but the later Lancaster batsmen could not keep up the required pace and the visitors finished 12 runs short of victory at 229-6.

On Sunday rain had the final say at Vernon Road after Netherfield had made 205-8 with Tommy Prime making a top score of 57 made from 73 balls with seven fours and Arshad Khan bowling unchanged to take 5-67. St Annes were on course for victory at 192-4 with five overs remaining but rain swept in and the game was abandoned with Ian Austin 89 not out made from 118 balls with one six and 10 fours.
