Lytham Cricket Club have been given a financial boost for its environmental work after securing an It's Your Community Award.
The grant of £1,000 will be used to buy shrubbery and trees to enhance the Church Lane ground.
The club has already cultivated a hedgerow close to the railway line and established a wild flower area.
The club has been given support in its efforts from Lytham St Annes Civic Society and The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers.
