Blackpool travel to take on Nottingham Forest this weekend for a match that marks the half-way point of the season and could have a significant impact on the second half.
A win would open up a gap of 13 points on their opponents, but a defeat would close the gap to seven.
And the Seasiders may have to manage at the City Ground without the defensive rock that is Ian Evatt after his yellow card last weekend, and Lee Hendrie, who received a straight red card at Reading on Tuesday night.
The Seasiders have 27 points from 22 games and a repeat of that haul in the second half of the season will be deemed a great success for a club with the smallest budget in the division.
Grayson will hope Dickinson is fully over his illness, and will have to re-jig his defence and midfield, being without Evatt and Hendrie.
David Fox did well when he was introduced shortly after Hendrie’s exit on Tuesday and may well fill the gap on Saturday, while the likes of Marlon Broomes, Alex John-Baptiste and Zesh Rehman will be hoping for a rare chance in Evatt’s absence.
