Making its Bloomfield Road debut today will be a huge tangerine flag.
It is the brainchild of Pool fans Mick Page and Frank Knight who have sold enough badges at £10 each to pay for the £2,000 flag, with the aim of improving the atmosphere at Bloomfield Road.
The atmosphere has not been what it was last season, and chairman Karl Oyston has now admitted that the club needs to find ways of enticing more fans through the turnstiles.
“We are going to look at re-jigging the pricing structure and making it easier for certain categories of people to follow the matches,” said the chairman.
For starters, fans who buy tickets for the next two home games, Charlton and Swansea, will get the bonus of a free ticket for the visit of Championship leaders Wolves on December 29.
