BURNLEY took revenge for their New Year's Day drubbing at Blackpool as two second half goals saw them record a derby win over their Lancashire rivals.
After totally dominating the first half, which saw Clarke Carlisle go closest for the Clarets, Owen Coyle's side eventually took the lead on the hour when Martin Paterson found the net from the edge of the box - his sixth of the season.
And Graham Alexander took his personal tally to three in two games when he slammed home a penalty after Ian Evatt had fouled Steven Caldwell in the box in the 73rd minute.
Paterson and Carlisle also had chances to extend their lead but the Clarets eased to victory.
