More than 50 youngsters from across Lancashire were given their first taster of inter area competition at Sport City, Manchester last Sunday.
The under-11 boys and girls were representing two Lancashire teams (the oranges and the purples) in the Norwich Union Fun-In-Athletics North West Regional Festival of Sportshall Athletics.
There were ten teams taking part with Carlisle, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Knowsley, Liverpool, South Cumbria, St Helens and the Wirral providing the opposition.
For the girls, the orange team were fifth and the purples eighth, and the boys were third (oranges) and ninth (purples).
