St Annes athlete Shelly Woods will be one of the busiest athletes in Beijing later this summer when she represents Great Britain in four events at the Paralympic Games.
The wheelchair racer will take on the world elite in the 800m, 1,500m, 5,000m and the marathon in September.
Shelly, 21, has high hopes of medals after a string of podium finishes at events all over the world, including winning the London marathon in 2007.
Her favoured events are the marathon and the 5,000m but Shelly was asked to do the shorter distance after she reached the qualification times.
