A STOURPORT man charged with setting fire to his own home has been refused bail by Kidderminster magistrates.
John Proto, of Elm Grove, today faced two charges of arson, after his house was found ablaze yesterday morning.
The first charge was arson with intent to endanger his own life and the second arson with recklessness as to whether life would be endangered.
The 49-year-old applied for bail but was refused. He will appear at Worcester Crown Court on December 12.
