WITH regards to the future of the Southend Festival, I would hope everyone can get together over the coming weeks and iron out any problems.

The one thing you know when you play there is you always get a result wicket, and that’s what we all want.

We all want an interesting game, and that is what Southend delivers.

I am not really involved in making decisions about these matters, though.

I am more interested in how we are doing in terms of results. And it is fair to say we’ve had too many drawn matches this year that have not helped us.

And one thing you know with Southend is that whoever plays the best over the four days will get a result there.
