Gemma Unsworth ran a new Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde Athletic Club record in the Wesham 10k race in Salwick when she was third woman home finishing in a time of 9.42.
Jeff Lawton was runner-up in the V45 category while Margaret Brown had to settle for the same position in the V60 race by a mere two seconds.
In the Mid-Lancs cross-country fixture in Liverpool's Sefton Park, Caroline Betmead finished fifth in 26.48, Carolyn Robbins 13th, in 29.19 and Stasia Bligh 30th, in 31.33 for a squad finish of fourth in Division One over a flat but muddy 6.5k course. Betmead, Robbins and Chrissie O'Connor made up the winning V35 team and Bev Wright joined Robbins and O'Connor in the second placed V45 team.
Over a 9.6k course, Phil Leybourne was first back for the club with 34.47 in sixth, although he was competing as a non-scorer.
That left Malc Eadie, Greg Seddon, Stuart Robinson, James Unsworth, Trevor Uttley and Ali Welsh to claim second place in Division One for the A team.
The quartet of Seddon, Welsh, Uttley and Endean took the V40 team to the same position the veterans' Division One.
The B Team also claimed second in Division Three.
