A Cleveleys toyshop has thrown its support behind The Citizen Tins and Toys appeal.

The Beach Hut, on North Promenade, has donated several large boxes of toys to the Christmas campaign, which makes a real difference to women and children who suffer domestic abuse.

The Citizen is collecting new toys and essential goods for Fylde Coast Women’s Aid, which operates two refuges covering Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.

Graham Kennaugh, manager of The Beach Hut, said: “It is a wonderful appeal and makes such a difference at Christmas so we were only to happy to do our bit.”
