Businesses in Cleveleys and Bispham are expecting a bank holiday boost as thousands of visitors are expected to flock to view the stricken ferry Riverdance.

The beached vessel ran aground seven weeks ago today and ever since cafes, shops and other outlets have reported an unseasonal boost in trade.

The ship is now listing at a 100-degree angle and the unlikely attraction is set to stay as maritime and salvage experts have yet to put forward a concrete plan to remove it.

Discussions on its future will not start until next week at the earliest.

The coastguard have warned visitors that a strict 400 metre exclusion zone exists around the vessel and appealed for people viewing the Riverdance to remain on the Prom.
