Motorists can come clean and help victims of crime at the same time on Marsh Mill Village, Thornton Cleveleys, next Thursday.
From 10am, until mid-afternoon, young people from Wyre and Fylde’s Youth Offending Team will be at the ready with soapy water and sponges to put the shine back on dirty cars.
The event has been organised by staff the youth offending team, which is based above Tiffin’s Tea Room at Marsh Mill, and will take place on the front car park by Seniors chip shop.
Motorists won’t be charged for the car wash but instead will be asked to make a donation.
All money raised will be given to Victim Support.
The Wyre and Fylde team have about 130 young people aged 10-17 on their books, and work with them and their families in a variety of ways to prevent offending and encourage them into education and positive activities.
