A 56-year-old woman accused of attempting to murder her husband has made a brief appearance before Preston Crown Court today.
Linda Wrigley, of Ascot Road, Thornton, was remanded in custody by Judge Anthony Russell QC.
Police were called to the family home after 9am on Thursday, August 28, where they found an 80-year-old man suffering stab wounds to the stomach and chest.
The man underwent surgery at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
Mrs Wrigley is expected to enter her plea to the charge at another hearing on December 5.
