From April 1 next year the over 60s and under 16s will be able to use the pools at Fleetwood and Poulton Leisure Centres free of charge during public swimming sessions.
A grant of nearly £95,000 per annum has been allocated to Wyre Borough Council to deliver the two-year programme after the Department of Culture, Media and Sport asked local authorities to register their interest in the scheme.
