Former Fylde librarian, Martin Ramsbottom, is well known for his many Poor Law lectures and his numerous books on the subject.

Now, as many people struggle with rising prices, Martin is planning a lecture for those interested to hear how our people in the past have dealt with a similar situation.

Martin's 'Poor Relief in the Fylde' talk will take place at St Martin and St Hilda's Church Hall, Castle Gardens, Fleetwood Road, Carleton, on May 9, at 7.30pm, and is open to all.
