Grime busters have been sweeping into Poulton today to wage war on the town's grot spots.

Operation Cleansweep will see a major blitz on graffiti, vandalism, fly-tipping, littering, as well as crime and nuisance.

Organised by the Wyre Community Safety Partnership, enforcement officers have been clamping down on the likes of dog fouling and littering.

Pupils from Hodgson School have been drafted in to do a special litter pick in Vicarage Park in the town centre while other volunteers turned their attention to trouble spots already identified by the Poulton Historical Society and the Market Town Partnership.
