Fylde pupils clean sand dunes

Pupils from St Anne’s College Junior School led a litter pick to encourage people to protect the resort’s sand dunes.

Suitably clad in high visibility jackets and carrying litter pickers, the group of 14 youngsters set off from the North Beach Car Park towards the Pier clutching black bags and protective gloves.

Fylde Borough Council’s dunes project officer, Anne Heslop who led the project hopes these working parties will become a regular feature of dune management and is asking anyone else wanting to join in such a clean-up to call her on 07595 233424 or email aheslop@lancswt.org.uk.
