Fylde residents have the chance to quiz some of the county's leading politicians later this week.

The YMCA in Lytham will be the setting for Lancashire County Council’s popular ‘Cabinet Question Time’ event on Thursday.

The panel for the evening will include county council leader Hazel Harding, along with fellow Cabinet members Doreen Pollitt, Tom Burns, Marcus Johnstone and Matthew Tomlinson.

The panel will take any questions raised by the audience.

BBC Television's Dave Guest will be on hand to make sure the evening runs smoothly and that the councillors are not able to duck any tough questions.

The evening is a chance for people to ask questions about any of the services or projects run by the county council such as recycling, education, public transport, highways and other matters affecting the local community.

County Councillor Harding said: “The county council provides around 85 per cent of all local government services in Lancashire.

"It is vital that everyone has a voice and can share their views on our services.

“Similar events around the county have proved to be popular and we hope that members of the public will come along to find out more about the work of the county council.”

The event starts at 7.15pm at Lytham YMCA, on Mythop Road, Lytham St Annes.
