Remembrance Sunday brings back different memories to many people.
All those young lives lost so that we could live in a free democratic country, electing our own government.
Many people think that being part of the European Union has preserved the peace that we now have, but this is not correct. It is down to Nato, not the EU.
There are now seeds of unrest in our country, mainly due to immigration. We have no control over the number of people coming here from EU countries.
Some 75% of our laws are now made in Brussels by people we have not elected. Even Westminster will cease to exist as we know it in future years.
Until we leave the EU and re-negotiate a trade-only agreement, which is why we joined in the first place, these seeds of discontentment will continue to grow. Getting our country back now before the final and most binding treaty is ratified, would I am sure be far better than perhaps civil unrest in the future.
Readers should write to their MPs to see where they stand on the forthcoming treaty, as they will have to vote, for or against it, in early spring next year.
