Health and safety officers have begun an investigation after a worker was crushed when a building partially collapsed.
Daniel Meek, 24, was working at the former Texaco garage on the A583 in Kirkham, when the floor gave way beneath him.
His legs became trapped under a concrete girder in the accident, which happened just before noon.
Firefighters and paramedics took an hour to free the stricken worker using two high pressure inflatable bags, before transferring him to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
Mr Meek, who is from Manchester, is believed to have sustained a broken leg and cuts and bruises.
The site is currently being converted into apartments and office space by Blue Ice Developments.
Officials from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) said they will visit the site today.
