One of the UK's largest energy consultancies is celebrating 40 years of pioneering work helping fuel the nation's economy.
The Lancashire company started life as a husband and wife operation based in a family home on the Fylde.
To celebrate its 40th anniversary a special black tie ball is being held tonight at The Hilton, Blackpool.

The firm currently manages nearly £1bn of gas and electricity for blue chip customers - and has a workforce approaching 200, including its sister companies of Energy 2000 and Saturn Energy Limited.
Its clients include a number of the UK's biggest companies, such as BhS, Kellogg's, JP Morgan Chase and The Spirit Group.
Inenco, based in St Annes, joined the AIM-listed Spice Group, which is headquartered in Leeds, in an £11.8m merger deal in June 2006 and has played a key part in the continuing growth of Spice plc.
Founded in 1968, Inenco is the UK's leading provider of energy and overhead cost control to industrial, commercial and retail customers, along with leading public sector bodies.
Chris Lee, managing director of Inenco, said: "Everyone at Inenco is looking forward to celebrating the event as we continue to move the business ahead and look forward to continued success and growth from our headquarters, which remains in St Annes.
