Lancashire police are asking for the help of milkmen in a bid to cut down on a spate of early morning caravan thefts.

Officers say thefts of this nature are common at this time of year.

Special leaflets are being handed out to people including milkmen and taxi drivers to ask them to look out for any suspicious activity.

Commenters miss the point. Unless they are personally prepared to fund a police officer for every person in the land, they need the help of all the community. The Police are the community; the community are the Police.
