Lancashire Police hunt for 'very high-risk' sex offender
POLICE in Lancashire are appealing for information about the whereabouts of 'a very high-risk' sex offender.
Lee Shaw, 27, a Registered Sex Offender, is wanted for offences of breach of bail and failing to notify.
He has links to Manchester, Lancashire and Yorkshire.
Shaw appeared at Fleetwood Magistrates Court on September 1 for an offence of failing to comply with notification requirements and was remanded on bail to live and sleep at an address in the town.
But he has since failed to report to the police and to keep an appointment with the Probation Service.
The last positive sighting of Shaw was in Sheffield on September 15.
Shaw was convicted in 2003 at Edinburgh High Court and sentenced to 18 months for offences of lewd, indecent and libidinous behaviour after he sexually assaulted a young boy.
He has five previous convictions for failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements – most recently in August 2011.
He is described as white, 5ft 5ins tall, slim build, with blue eyes and short fair hair.
He speaks with a Yorkshire accent.
Detective Inspector Phil Jones said: “Lee Shaw is a very high risk sex offender with a conviction for a serious sexual offence.
"I believe he poses a significant risk of harm and I would appeal to anyone who knows where he may be to get in touch with us.
“Sex offenders are managed in the community by police and partners, a system which aims to prevent them committing further offences, but if they do not comply with the obligations of their licence or notification requirements, then we will take robust and positive action to locate them, as we are doing in this case.”
If anyone has any information about Shaw’s whereabouts they can contact Lancashire Police on 08451 25 35 45 or they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 .

Vermin like this should be legally executed then we wouldn't have the worry of them re-offending !!

How many times are we expected to fund the Police and Courts for repeat criminals like this. We should adopt the 3 strikes and your out system and just for his victims what about chemical castration or if they would prefer just forget the chemicals.
Oh dear I forgot, we are now dictated by the European courts/Human rights, etc. High time we got this country back on track, These people destroy the lives of the innocent, If I had my way, it would be The same way the castrate bulls etc, tight band round the balls 'till they drop off. PAINFULLY!

.
He appears before you for not complying with any of the orders given to him.
Despite having FIVE previous convictions for the same offence you see fit to grant him bail.
.
If this person goes on to commit any further offences whist on the run I hope the victim takes a civil prosecution against you all individually for such poor decision making.
.
If he had not paid his council tax or put his dustbin out a day earlier he would be locked up for the rest of his days.
.
An absolute disgrace!!
