THOUSANDS of cyclists have had a first look at this year’s Blackpool Illuminations.
The Promenade was closed to traffic for the fourth Ride the Lights event on Tuesday.
It bought cyclists to the resort in their hordes, with a six-mile stretch of the Illuminations open.
Coun Maxine Callow, member for regeneration and tourism at Blackpool Council, said: “It’s great to see the many thousands of people enjoying one of Blackpool’s most famous attractions in a healthy and active way.”
The Illuminations officially launch tomorrow.
