Appeal over Lancashire train passenger's abuse

WITNESSES to a verbally-abusive rail passenger are being sought by British Transport Police.

A man described as white, in his early 20s, slim, with short-cropped hair and wearing a grey hooded top with Raw written on the back, got on the Colne to Blackpool South train at Blackburn, at around 4.30pm on Monday.

While on the train he was verbally abusive to passengers and staff, and then abused a guard after getting off at Cherry Tree station at 4.35pm.

Police think there may have been a woman with him. Anybody who may be able to identify the man is asked to call police on 0800 40 50 40.
