A top boss from the world's biggest casino operator has held talks with Blackpool regeneration chiefs.
Andrew Tottenham, European managing director of Harrah's, which owns Las Vegas' famous Caesar's Palace casino, was in town on Friday to meet council and urban regeneration company representatives.
The Citizen revealed in 2003 that Harrah's had signed a joint venture with bingo operator Gala to explore the possibility of building regional casinos in UK destinations, including Blackpool.
It is one of more than 20 firms to express an interest in operating Blackpool's proposed casino and conference quarter.
