Duke of Lancaster soldier killed in Afghanistan

A British soldier from 2nd Battalion, the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, has been killed in an explosion in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence said today.
The soldier died from wounds sustained in a blast while on foot patrol in the Nad-e-Ali area of Helmand today.
Next of kin have been informed.
