Son of armed robber wanted by Blackpool cops

The son of a notorious armed robber who is wanted in connection with a robbery in Blackpool is also wanted by Merseyside Police.

Police in Merseyside want to speak to Russell Grant, also known as Russell McVicar, in connection with an incident at Tesco on Cable Retail Park in Prescot on January 25 2006, in which a cash box was taken from a G4S Security Guard.

Grant, who is the son of reformed armed robber John McVicar, is also wanted by police in the resort following a robbery at the Royal Bank of Scotland, on Talbot Square, on Friday August 22.

Police say Grant has connections throughout the North West and may still be in the area.
