Parents in Blackpool looking for school places in the resort for their children can now do the job online.
From Monday 8 September, parents can apply online at www.blackpool.gov.uk under an initiative launched this week by Blackpool Council.
As well as using the new eAdmissions service, parents can also complete a paper application form.
These forms are available at all primary schools or from the Schools Admission Team, Progress House, Clifton Road, Blackpool FY4 4US who can be contacted on 01253 476510, 476635 or 476637.
If a child’s 4th birthday falls between September 2008 and August 2009, parents need to start thinking about applying for a primary school place now.
The closing date for all primary school applications is 7 November 2008 and 17 October 2008 for secondary school applications.
The only way to apply for a primary school place is by applying online or by completing a paper form and returning it to the School Admissions team before the closing date.
All of the information you will need about school admissions, including the online application form, can be found by clicking the related link right.
Alternatively, call Blackpool Council’s Customer First advice centre for information on 01253 477477.
