A Blackpool businessman has admitted breaching health and safety regulations after a teenage boy had part of a finger amputated in a potato chipper.
Preston Crown Court heard that the accident occurred on September 29 at Fresh Bite, Central Drive, Blackpool.
Naresh Kumar, 41, of Preston New Road, Blackpool, admitted ten charges under the Health and Safety at Work act.
The offences include failing to provide instruction, training and supervision, and failing to ensure the machine was in efficient working order.
The other charges include failing to report the accident and not providing adequate and appropriate first aid equipment and facilities.
Kumar was granted unconditional bail by Judge Bruce Macmillan and will be sentenced on September 19.
