Cyclists ride the lights

Cycles stretched down the Prom as far as the eye could see yesterday as thousands joined the Ride the Lights event.
Five miles of Promenade adorned with the Illuminations displays were closed to traffic to allow families and friends to cycle through.
The sneak preview of the lights offered everyone the opportunity to view them from the saddle of their own bike, before they are officially switched on this Friday.
From 8pm until 10am, participants hopped on their bikes to enjoy the spectacle.
