Blackpool firm launches back to work scheme

A Blackpool firm has launched a scheme which aims to get those out of work into employment.

The firm, A4e, based on Amy Johnson Way, Blackpool, has launched Connect to Work, a voluntary scheme aimed at supporting individuals within the region who are currently on sickness or disability related benefits gain employment.

As one of the world’s largest providers of welfare and employment services, A4e offers a menu of options for Connect to Work clients to choose from when they visit their local A4e office.

These include a discretionary £200 ‘back to work fund, a personal action plan and job search, CV and interview preparation, help with job applications and advice on confidence building.

Gavin Lawrie, A4e Operations Manager said: “Connect to Work offers a fantastic opportunity for those who feel ready to return to work and start their career get the support they need.

“The flexible nature of the scheme recognises that everyone has unique circumstances that they have to deal with, which can be holding them back from enjoying a fulfilling career and a better quality of life.

Connect to Work is a voluntary scheme, the aim of which is to ensure individuals obtain the support they need to gain a happy and fulfilled working life.

Since 2006, A4e has helped 1,100 people to find full-time employment.
