New Blackpool to Menorca flight route planned

An airline has announced a new route from Blackpool to Menorca which will begin next year.
Jet2’s 2009 schedule will include the new destination, taking the total European destinations served from the resort up to ten.
Menorca is the second largest of the ever popular Balearic Islands.
David Kershaw, chief executive at Blackpool International Airport said: “We are delighted that Jet2.com is continuing to grow the destinations on offer from Blackpool Airport with the launch of the new summer 2009 service to Mahon, Menorca.
“Blackpool is proving to be an increasingly popular departure airport, so of course we want to ensure our faithful customers – plus any new holidaymakers, have as many wonderful destinations to choose from as possible.”
