A lucky St Annes resident won a bottle of bubbly following a draw in the town.
St Annes councillor, Karen Buckley, presented Mrs Exell, of Kilnhouse ward, with the bottle of champagne after her returned survey was pulled out first in the prize draw.
The survey, sent to nearly 6,000 homes in St Annes North, was designed to find out what local people thought of local and national issues.
Questions asked included subjects on Gordon Brown’s Post Office closure program and cutting the 10p tax starting rate.
The reply rate was good with many taking advantage of the freepost address.
Coun Buckley said: “I was delighted so many people responded and views expressed were really useful and of interest.
"I included a prize draw to encourage people to take part and it clearly worked.
"As a local politician, I am acutely aware of people’s concerns over the cost of living under this Labour Government, and this is borne out by the fact that Council Tax was identified as the top priority.
"It has doubled under New Labour and 80 per cent of it goes to Labour’s County Hall in Preston.
"We need to work hard to curb its level and provide better value for money.”
